The Synology PS500 is a compact 5-port Gigabit PoE+ switch designed specifically to easily connect and power Synology cameras and other PoE devices. Thanks to its plug-and-play design, no configuration or additional software is required. Simply connect the equipment, and the switch immediately provides both network connectivity and power.
The PS500 features five Gigabit Ethernet ports, four of which support PoE and PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at). Each PoE+ port can deliver up to 30 watts, with a total available PoE budget of 60 watts. This allows multiple surveillance cameras or other compatible network devices to be powered directly via the network cable.

Synology developed the PS500 with smaller surveillance installations in mind.
