The Netgear GS728TPP switch has a power budget of 384 Watts and uses the 802.3af standard on every port.

QoS & Security
The Netgear GS728TPP does more than just connect multiple devices. That's why Netgear also calls this model a 'Smart PoE switch'. One of the extra features is to prioritize certain data, such as telephony or video conferencing, via QoS (Quality of Service). This prevents dropped phone calls or stuttering video images.

In addition, the Netgear GS728TPP includes 802.1x security for authentication purposes and ACL filtering based on MAC or IP address. Thanks to support for SNMP v1 and v2, you can also monitor data and request reports on the health of your network. The Netgear GS728TP also supports SNMP v3, which enables data encryption.
