This 8-port managed switch from Ubiquiti delivers a power budget of 150 watts spread over 8 PoE (Power over Ethernet) Gigabit ports. Because these ports are auto-sensing, they automatically adjust the speed on the network. The 2 SFP ports are suitable for fiber optic connections and support uplinks with a maximum speed of 1 Gbps.
The Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch is a compact but powerful device with a non-blocking throughput of up to 10 Gbps and a forwarding capacity of up to 20 Gbps. This allows the switch to process data traffic on multiple ports simultaneously at high speed without the occurrence of packet loss. Thanks to the fanless design, the Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch makes virtually no sound.
The EdgeSwitch supports IEEE 802.3af/at PoE/PoE + or 24V passive PoE. The 802.3af/at devices are automatically detected and directly powered via Power over Ethernet. The 24V passive PoE devices are configured using the clear Edge Switch configuration interface.
Using the EdgeSwitch configuration interface, it is extremely easy to manage all ports. It is possible to access multiple switches, so you can manage switches from different locations from one central point. You can also read the status per port and set any VLANs.
