In total, the TP-Link TL-SL1218P has 16 Fast Ethernet ports with PoE+. There is also 1 SFP ports available so that you can, for example, create a fast uplink with a second switch. Special about this 16-port switch is the extend mode, which ensures that the switch supports network cables up to 250 meters (instead of 100 meters). This way you can place equipment at a greater distance from the switch, although the transmission speed is then reduced to 10 Mbps.
Special priority ports
To guarantee the quality of the camera streams, connect your IP cameras to the red marked ports of the TP-Link TL-SL1218P. These automatically take precedence over the other ports. In addition, with the Isolation Mode function you can choose to isolate the traffic on these ports from each other. This leads to extra security and improved data transmission.
Easy installation and PoE+
Thanks to the plug & play design, this switch can be installed in no time: plug it into the wall socket, connect all network equipment (such as a PC, router, printer and IP telephone) and you're done. It couldn't be easier. In addition, all Fast Ethernet ports support PoE+ so that all connected devices are directly supplied with power. The complete PoE budget is 150 Watts with a maximum of 30 Watts per port. When budget is exceeded, the switch automatically reduces power on lower-priority ports so that equipment on high-priority ports can continue to operate unimpeded.
