TP-Link TL-SG1218MPE 18-Port Gigabit Easy Smart PoE+ Switch

The TP-Link TL-SG1218MPE is an advanced Gigabit PoE+ switch with 16 Gigabit LAN ports with PoE+ support. These deliver a maximum power of 30W with a total power budget of 192W. This switch is powerful enough to extend the corporate network with a wide range of network devices, including IP cameras, wireless access points and IP telephones. In addition, there are 2 Gigabit SFP ports on the device.

The built-in security feature prevents the switch from being overloaded: once the PoE budget of 192W is exceeded, the switch will give priority to the most important ports and the port with the lowest priority will be disabled.

Port Mirroring and VLAN
A special function of this switch is Port Mirroring. This means that you make a copy of the data packets from one port and then forward them to another port. This makes it possible, for example, to monitor network traffic and to trace possible details. In addition, the TL-SG108E supports VLAN. This allows you to create virtual separations in your network, for example when different departments are only allowed to enter a certain part of the network.

Quality of Service
With Quality of Service (QoS) you can set which network traffic should be given priority. This ensures a stable connection for your most important data. For example, you can indicate that voice and video applications have priority over standard internet traffic. This prevents delays from occurring when making phone calls or playing video images when there is little bandwidth available.

Energy saving
The ports of the TL-SG1218MPE automatically detect the speed of the connected device (10, 100 or 1000 Mbps) and adjust their power accordingly. This allows you to easily compensate for power loss and less power can be consumed. Furthermore, this switch has LED lights that indicate the status of each LAN port.
