Expansion Unit
With the TL-R2400PES-RP TL PCIe interface JBOD storage enclosure you can expand the storage capacity of a QuTS-hero or QTS NAS through use to make SATA hard drives. The TL-R2400PES-RP offers a large data capacity and fast transfer speed and is the ideal solution for archiving/backing up virtualization applications, surveillance recordings, large amounts of data and multimedia.

4.1 PB capacity
Expand to a capacity of 4.1 PB1 for QuTS hero NAS, by twelve to connect expansion enclosures (up to 288 hard drives in total).
Economics
The TL-R2400PES-RP supports SATA hard drives, which are common, are budget-friendly and available with large capacities.
Up to 64 Gb/s
The TL-R2400PES-RP features PCIe Gen 3 x8 and delivers up to 64 Gb/s speed for data transfer.
(Actual transfer speeds depend on the PCIe slot of the host NAS and the storage units used.)
Easy installation
Connect your TL-R2400PES-RP to the host NAS to expand NAS capacity. There is no need to rebuild RAID on the host NAS and the installation is completed in a few minutes.
Host-based power management
Powering on and off the TL-R2400PES-RP is linked to the host NAS.

Ensures continuity of service with stable and reliable power supplies.

- The QNAP host NAS requires QuTS hero h5.1.2 / QTS 5.1.2 (or later) and updating to specific BIOS versions per model.
